It's like hopping back into a sports game after a long layoff, yet you've still been avidly following the sport and its players on TV. The cars in this game dont feel DRASTICALLY different, but the subtleties between rocketing a European supercar down Monza and then tumbling through the first couple sections of Road Atlanta in a classic Corvette Stingray have become scientific. I've only played Forza Motorsport games for about a year now, with the only other relevant experience being the months of playtime I indulged in playing Gran Turismo 1-5 back in the day (I am admittedly a huge GT fan), and at this point Turn 10 has perfected the art of simcade physics to where I could virtually pick up and play FM7 even if I spend months/years between play sessions. It also drives (a bit) smoother, and the suspension and weight shifts for each car are much easier to both feel with a controller/gamepad, and adapt to as well. Magnificent, absolutely mind-blowing visuals that MUST be viewed from a 4K/HDR TV.įrom the cars' authentically recreated exteriors, to their interiors, and from the track list to the noticeable nuances that characterize each one, Forza 7, a circuit racing game running at 60 FPS even on a standard old XBOX One, is a visual triumph in every sense of the word, and blows its predecessor away in that regard. Certain races in the campaign feature these weather conditions where the clouds are bunched together in this worrisome orgy of overcast, and the sky streaks a hazel-y orange shade that urges you to dive into the game's luscious photo mode. The graphics are far brighter, textures rich with detail and sharpness regardless of the TV you play on, and the (long, long awaited) inclusion of dynamic weather is done remarkably well. Without a doubt, Forza 7 is a much more technically sufficient video game in comparison. However, I've pumped at least 30-some odd hours into both games, so I feel like I'm at a place where I could talk extensively about them.)
